The GES recruitment portal is a portal especially designed by the Ghana Education Service to accept applications from people interested to work for the service
Ghana Education Service is the government body responsible for the recruitment of personnel into the educational sector whether teaching or non-teaching staff.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF GES POSTING AND RECRUITMENT
Below is what an application university graduates who wish to work under the GES will be required to provide when applying to be employed under the Ghana Education Service.
- For second cycle teachers must graduate from tertiary education institutions
- Should have passed the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination
- Must complete the mandatory one-year national service
- Must be prepared to work at any place they will be posted to.
REQUIREMENT FOR GES POSTING AND RECRUITMENT
The following documents might be required for the posting and recruitment of personnel who wish to work for the GES
- Your birth certificate
- Your senior high school certificate
- You Junior high school certificate
- National Service Certificate
- Your Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education Certificate

Date for GES Recruitment Portal
All things being equal, the recruitment portal is expected to be opened before the year ends. According to the Education Minister, graduates will have the chance to be recruited as there will be no College of Education graduates.
The Director General of the Ghana Education Service has also specified the type of graduates that will be recruited when the portal opens.
According to Mr. Opoku-Amankwa, his outfit is waiting on the Financial Ministry to grant the Ministry of Education (MoE) clearance so that GES can begin the recruitment process.

To start registration, visit the GES recruitment website: WWW.GESPROMOTIONS.GOV.GH.
- Select RECRUITMENT( apply for recruitment as teaching staff) Then select “Click to start filling form”
- Choose the Category of Employment
- Teaching
- Non-Teaching
- first name
- Last name
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- The region of birth
- Nationality
- Marital status
- Phone number
- Residential address in full
CERTIFICATE SECTION
- GTLE number ( Exams ID)
- Enter your school index number
- NSS number
- District of NSS posting
- Region of NSS posting
- Year of completing NSS
Certificates to Upload
- National Service Certificate
- Bachelors’ Degree in Education Certificate /College of education certificate
- Ghana Teacher Licensure Certificate
After uploading your certificates, the submit application button will show up. Make sure you go through your details to make your they are all correct. The areas you uploaded your document will be GREEN and VIEW DOCUMENT button should show.
