 JUST IN || 2023 Nationwide Payroll Monitoring Exercise By Fair Wages and Salary Commission For Public sector workers to begin on 1st April



As part of efforts geared towards the cleaning up of public-sector payroll in line with its mandates, fair wages, and salary commission FWSC will be embarking on a Nationwide payroll monitoring exercise in collaboration with its relevant stakeholders from 1st April 2023.

FWSC is the government agency mandated by FWSC Act, 2007 (Act 737) to develop and monitor allowances and benefits, as well as to coordinate, manage and monitor the collective bargaining process in which government is a direct or indirect employer.


The exercise is aimed at sanitizing the public sector payroll by identifying and expunging any existing fraud and anomalies on it. It is also aimed at ensuring that only approved salaries and allowances are paid.


To this end, the commission treat all Boards / Councils and head of public sector institutions to conduct their internal payroll audit and cleaned up ahead of that of the commission. This exercise should cover basic salaries and all types of allowances and benefits.


By this communication, banks and individuals in receipt of Frontline salaries and allowances are also advised to take steps to refund see him and sees from feather falling practices or face the full regal of the law.

This has become necessary as some unscrupulous persons may have been alleged to be receiving double salaries or wrong salaries.
